Good cast. Enjoyed it as always even though you make me wait so fricken long between offerings.

I want less agreement and more confrontation. If not between the two of you then bring on a guest. fight fight fight.

I resonate so much with you guys. I am a Pastor and I’m outchurched. There has to be more to being a community of faith than worship services, small groups, and organizational BS and politics. You mentioned who your audience is - those who say you are going to hell and those who don’t understand what you are talking about. I don’t fall into either of those categories so there must be a third out there somewhere. I listen because I’m sick of playing church/doing church and believe there is more to be had. Thanks for being open and honest. We need so much more of that!

Don’t worry, your “show” (or whatever you call this thing) isn’t boring by any means. So you don’t have to spice it up. I wouldn’t mind if you would spice it up though, but it’s not needed.

Hmm, but than again, you’ll have to invite Nasa Janet and Just Pete sometime in the near future, that’s a given!

I think this is a great post on the emerging church, I think it describes what the “conversation” tends to be.

Hey, listen to my next podcast (number 8) where I will talk about why the number of the beast dropped 50 points from 666 to 616. Hint, its because Colorado Senator Ken Salazar called James Dobson the antichrist and Satan got pissed.

so i caught your comment on “relevant” magazine and i kinda chuckled. im a graphic designer with an anabaptist leaning so i was somewhat interested when i heard about relevant. some time ago i read a critique of “christian apparel” which i felt was far too soft (i notice they now sell relevant swag with gusto on their homepage). so anyways, i made a post on their website about it as a response to it and get this, it was deleted.

aparently it was perfectly ok for people to promote their own labels but not ok for me to criticize the state of christian superficiality in culture.

just to validate some of your assesment that its masquerading as progressive. not to put words in your mouth.
