Schenck == Jackass

by: Rev. Dan

“God rebuked nations who only turned to Him in their most extreme moments of need”

Summary: National Clergy Council founder and president Rev. Rob Schenck was quoted by AgapePress, the American Family Association’s news service, as apparently questioning the religious devotion of those who prayed for the trapped miners in West Virginia, then warning that “God rebuked nations who only turned to Him in their most extreme moments of need.”

What is it with all of these “leaders” of the church just making shit up and putting it out there? Is there a theologian in the house?

It seems this schmuck hasn’t read the book of Judges. If I am not mistaken the normal ‘pattern’ that can be seen throughout this book is: Israel’s rejection of God, God’s rejection of Israel, Israel’s return to God and then God’s forgiveness of Israel…

If we then consider that when ‘God rejected Israel’, they were in a ‘most extreme moment of need’; we then see that God does indeed shower most abundant blessings upon those that ‘turn to Him in their most extreme moment of need.’

Fool.
