I’d Watch This If I Had Nova

by: Rev. Dan

I’d totally watch this show tomorrow (Tues.) if I had cable: Judgment Day: Intelligent Design On Trial.

Of course, though, the entire Intelligent Design issue can be summarized in two sentences:

The only thing that remotely resembles intelligence in the Intelligent Design movement is the adoption of vocabulary that makes one stop to consider that repackaged Creationism is worth a second look. The Discovery Institute does an amazing job of creating controversy in the public square when no controversy exists within the scientific community.

I’ll bet you $100 that the Discovery Institute will issue a press release or commentary calling the Nova special “a hack job done by non-credible journalists” or some such similar horseshit, since that’s how they deal with investigative journalism. Their motto appears to be “if you don’t come to the same [non-reason-based] conclusion as us you’re a hack with an anti-God agenda.”

Update (11-20-07):

The full show is available for online viewing here!

You can pick up PBS with an antenna! Plus you can watch a streaming video of the won Nova afterward.
