7-Year-Old Yells at New York for Jesus

by: Rev. Dan

Samuel Boutwell’s dad thinks that what’s needed at Ground Zero in New York is more religious fundamentalism, so he exploits his 7-year-old, who is in full broadcast mode. Note how little Samuel does little more than yell at people… just like oh, most evangelists.

Since I’ve never heard about Noah and the flood I’m really grateful for this video, because nothing communicates Godliness and promotes learning more than having a 7-year-old yelling it at me.

Many will disagree with me on this (at least they have in the past), but I cannot help seeing this as abusive. The parent is simply taking advantage of and exploiting the child. What hope does this child have for growing up capable of embracing reality?

I wrote a post about this last year. It’s terrible, IMO, to bring up children as awful fundamentalist parrots and tell them how wonderful it is to scream at people on the street. Well-adjusted children just don’t happen that way.

Anyone else get the feeling that this kid’s list of hobbies will someday also include “climbing campus clock towers” and “cleaning mah guns”?

Poor kid! It reminds me of child soldiers. A psycho-therapist is going to have a lot of work to do with this individual in later years.

I have kids this poor boy’s age and this makes me sick. 7 years old and already hopelessly brainwashed into this particular ancient mythology. Color him a bit darker & put him a few thousand miles east & the same kid would be screaming about the all-merciful Allah ready to rip your flesh to shreds and fry your ass in hell.
